Later this week, I'll be starting my PhD fieldwork cycle ride across England to explore visions for the future of farming and food production. In this post, I'll outline how you can support me on this adventure:

Participate in the research as an interviewee

On the map below, you can see the general areas where I will be stopping to interview women in farming communities. If you are a woman who lives, works, or volunteers on a farm in one of those areas, I would love to learn about your vision for the future of farming and food production in England! The interview will take place at your farm and will last around one hour. You can learn more and register your interest in participating here: https://sites.exeter.ac.uk/farmingfuturescycle

Help me achieve my fundraising goal

As I take on this physically and emotionally demanding challenge, I'll be raising money for the Farming Community Network (FCN). The FCN is a voluntary organisation and charity that supports farmers and families within the farming community through difficult times. I’m hoping to raise £3,000 across the three-month tour to support the important work the FCN does. Any donations would be greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/page/farming-futures-cycle-tour.

Follow along with the adventure

The easiest way to support me is by following along on Instagram or Facebook!

Join me on my ride

I will be undertaking this adventure solo, however, I would love to meet some of you along my way. You could come cycle with me for a day or two (a pre-warning, though, I am very slow), meet me for a slice of cake at a café I’m passing, or bring your tent and come camp with me for an evening! If you live near my route, feel free to drop me a message and we can try to arrange something!
